Character Overview

Renee Montoya is a detective with the Gotham City Police Department, assigned to the Major Crimes Unit, who comes into frequent contact with Batman. Montoya is honest, strong-willed, one of Gotham City's best cops and one of the closest non-masked allies to Batman. 

Montoya was born and raised in New York City. She is the eldest child of immigrants from the Dominican Republic.  

Please note: applicants do not need to be of Dominican Republic descent, but a Latin American background in their family history would be preferred.

 

Candidates must: 

• Be fluent in English with good standard American accent.

• Hold a valid passport of 9 months or more and no prior convictions.

• Applicants will be sent for approval to Warner Bros.

Hello everyone! I am Detective Renee Montoya. I work with the Gotham City Police Department. Is everyone alright? (AUDIENCE RESPONSE) 

We do our best at GCPD to keep the city safe, but have you heard the story of Gotham City’s protector? He is known as The Dark Knight, but we also know him by another name. Do you know his name? 

(AUDIENCE RESPONSE) 

Batman! That’s right!

 

Commissioner James Gordon has asked if we can use my Remote Bat-signal activator to call for Batman right away! I use this only in the most extreme of circumstances. The Riddler is about to shut off the power to the entire city, and spoil all the fun we prepared for today! 

Everyone, count with me and on the count of three, we’ll hit the Remote Bat-signal activator
